'Ben & Anna' Natural Soda Deodorant Review

December 14, 2017

We are Ben & Anna

After a long time living the good life in Berlin, we made the decision to leave the urban jungle behind us. We decided to move back to the countryside of my Hessian homeland, in spite of Berlin’s many advantages.

As a strictly vegan couple we have always paid close attention to what we consumed. Our purchasing habits have always predominantly consisted of products from sustainable and / or organic sources. In the realm of cosmetic products, I have always trusted in the power of nature as well.

I had long been searching for a suitable deodorant for myself. It needed to be vegan and not tested on animals. I also wanted a deodorant without aluminum and it was impossible for me to find anything that fit the bill. So we decided to develop our own deodorant which is based solely on all natural ingredients and is free of parabens. It’s a deodorant which can be used by men and women alike. After several attempts, and a lot of time and tinkering we were ready to launch the new deodorant, which we are very proud of.

Ben & Anna,
Natural Soda Deodorant.

I was very kindly gifted a deodorant stick from Ben & Anna with the scent 'Provence'. As a fan of deodorant sticks anyway, I was excited to receive this. I am a huge fan of organic, natural products and try to stay away from the nasty chemicals in drug store deodorants.

I love the ethics behind the product and whilst I'm not a vegan, I do favour organic products. The smell is both relaxing & beautiful and just what I expected, the packaging is very pretty and the size is perfect.

Overall I loved the product, my only slight issue with the product is that it can be a little difficult to apply if the stick is slightly cold or dry as it doesn't apply so smoothly. I was advised however to apply it on after a shower (whilst my skin was still damp) or dampen the stick if necessary and after I took these pointers into account, I had no troubles. My skin has stayed soft and more importantly it works as a deodorant! (I recently visited NYC and this was an absolute saviour.)

If you are looking for an organic, vegan alternative to deodorants which are cruelty-free, I would definitely recommend this one.

They currently have a sale on so if you're interested, grab one now! As well as their online store they are available on various other well-known and trusted online stores (inc. Amazon, All Natural Me, Love Lula) averaging £9.95 per stick.
